Article Processing Charge

 An article processing charge of £1650 applies to accepted manuscripts. There is no submission fee. APC is the journal’s only source of revenue. IJIS does not accept paid advertisements on its website. Please note that the APC does not include bank charges or any other applicable fees.  A complete APC is £1650 payable to the journal's account.  The APC in dollars is $2200. Note that these charges do not include bank fees. 

Addendum to APC Policy Announcement (Dated 2026-04-21)

We wish to correct an exchange rate oversight in our announcement of 2026-04-21, where the Article Processing Charge (APC) was listed as £1,650 GBP / $2,000 USD. We observed that this rate created an inadvertent disparity, as authors paying in British Pounds would pay significantly more given that £1,650 GBP equates to approximately $2,200 USD. To ensure complete fairness across all payment currencies, the APC in United States Dollars has been updated to $2,200 USD (or the live equivalent of our baseline £1,650 GBP fee, net of all bank charges).

Refund policy

The Article Processing Charge (APC), which authors pay, is non-refundable and is to take care of the cost of production and overall journal management. Only in exceptional cases will a refund application be considered. Below are some of the conditions:

  1. The application is made within 24 hours of payment.
  2. The basis for the application is overpayment.
  3. Refunds may be considered if an author erroneously made a payment prior to the issuance of an official letter of acceptance.

Our Ethical Pacing

To maintain the highest standards of publication ethics and protect our authors' scholarly investments, the Ianna Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies operates under a strict revenue-pacing policy.

Following the publication of an issue, the editorial office does not accept or process Article Processing Charges (APCs) for the subsequent issue until all articles from the current issue have been successfully ingested and indexed in Scopus. This self-imposed ethical check ensures absolute transparency, eliminates financial risk for our contributors, and guarantees that our workflow is entirely driven by quality and indexing compliance rather than volume.
