Abstract

Background: In the current era of globalisation and digitalisation, the humanisation of management within higher education institutions (HEIs) is becoming increasingly vital. This shift necessitates the integration of student-centred approaches, innovative management models, and advanced digital technologies to meet evolving educational demands.

Objective: This study provides a theoretical and methodological rationale for a model of educational process humanisation and develops management strategies designed to enhance the institutional effectiveness of HEIs.

Methodology: The research utilised a synthesis of systemic and synergistic approaches, theoretical modelling, structural-functional analysis, and scientific abstraction to develop a comprehensive framework for institutional transformation.

Results: Findings indicate that incorporating student-oriented and humanistic approaches into university governance enhances academic mobility, improves graduate employability, and strengthens internal team cohesion. A secondary review of international studies reveals significant regional disparities in the adoption of humanistic management. Furthermore, while the global higher education market is projected to grow to USD 358.43 billion by 2030, the annual growth rate is expected to moderate from 12% in 2024–2025 to approximately 7% by 2030. The proposed framework facilitates transformation by aligning strategic planning, human resource policies, and digital platforms with humanistic principles.

Conclusion: The humanisation of education serves as a crucial driver for the strategic advancement of universities, fostering the development of independent, critically minded, and socially responsible individuals.

Unique Contribution: The study’s scientific originality lies in its theoretical justification and structured analysis of innovative mechanisms for advancing HEIs. It uniquely conceptualises innovation not merely as technological modernisation, but as a value-oriented process of institutional transformation that unifies efficiency, ethics, and empathy in university management.

Key Recommendation: This study conceptualises innovation as both a technological modernisation and a value-oriented process, emphasizing that efficiency in university management must be inextricably linked with ethics and empathy.
